Jesus Christ! We’ve all heard that name, its everywhere, on movies, tv, social media, church and so on. The name Jesus Christ has dominated many controversial debates for centuries. And still even today people are asking, who is Jesus Christ? For many years I would tell myself Jesus is my savior, he was without sin and bore all our sins on the cross for the entire world to be saved. And that is the story we all have grown to know him by, along with, he is the son of God, and God himself, and also he raised from the dead three days after his death. And at that many people can’t fathom the idea and walk away from the conversation all together. As I think of Jesus Christ and who I believe him to be. I try to form an idea from scriptures in the Bible and how they portray Jesus Christ. But how can we come to know Jesus if we don’t take the Bible in its entirety. And so I’ll tell my story on my journey of understanding Jesus, I only request that those who read this keep an open mind, and pray as I will also pray that I do not lead anyone into deception or away from God, but that I may lead people to him. God guide my thoughts through this discussion and lead me through your Spirit. In the beginning we learn of the creation of the world. In the beginning the setting is calm and we don’t read of any form of chaos in the world until Eve sins. From the Bible we learn that Eve is wife of Adam, which we know can also mean Earth since Adam was formed of Earth. Eve was from Adam which the Bible says God took a rib or “part” of man to form woman. Now this is where I go into my own thoughts I am not discrediting the Bible but simply giving a parallel to what I gained from this separation and how it will play out. Adam which is the man, in today’s society and even back then takes the role of head of the family, the traits of a man can also be known for discipline, providing, strength, and so on, where as a woman, is soft, nurturing, quiet, patient, and the vulnerable aspects of mankind. As I meditate on this as a whole these two make all the characteristics of God. In which we learn in the next verse that Adam calls Her bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh, in which the Bible says when we marry we become one flesh. So, let’s go deeper into the plot. When Eve was tricked in the Garden it did not mention if Adam was present with Eve or not from the interaction we can assume it was only Eve, in which she was tempted she knew not to eat from the tree yet she did anyway, ask yourself was it because she was selfish, that she did it knowing she could die? Was it greed we can say that also, was it pride, we can say every sin but we have to ask would she have done it if Adam was present? We know Eve the woman is the vulnerable vessel to man who is to portray discipline, strength, and perseverance. Then at essence this story is deeper then its surface. To break it down the man “Adam” started out completely whole but lonely so God decided to find him a mate and formed all sorts of animals as the man named them all. We see here a man partnering with God to fulfill that purpose yet no one was found. So God formed the woman out of man taking part of the man to make two beings, yet together they are a whole. So without “Adam” which represents the masculinity of God or discipline Eve strayed away from the teachings of God thus leading to a society of people that grew increasingly more evil. To go further notice The Serpent appealed to the vulnerable being (not to say men are superior to women). Notice how this plays on how people play on our vulnerabilities to get us to do something we know we shouldn’t especially when we do not have discipline or good discernment. And every story there after is about a society that is without discipline. So, the theme afterwards is to await the promised son that will defeat the serpents seed. Which brings us to our topic, Who is Jesus Christ? The prophesy in genesis says that the woman’s seed will defeat the serpents seed with a fatal blow to the head but the serpent will strike his heel. From the New Testament we hear all about the journey and teachings of Jesus Christ and his disciples. From birth to death and being risen until he ascends back into heaven leaving his disciples to continue to spread his teachings. Now let’s dive even more deeper. To me Jesus Christ represents hope, new beginnings, salvation, truth and so forth. Jesus Tells us that he is the truth, the life, and the way to God. Jesus’s purpose was to reconcile man to God. So here is where I go into my own thought. What if Jesus Christ is not just A Man but also a group of people formed together on one accord and that reason is God. And the birth was the idea that people serve God in “action” or “Spirit” in which people equate the actions of others to spirits for example “in the spirit of hatred he killed many”. So let’s go back to the parallel again, through Eve a “woman” society fell in the absence of discipline but when discipline showed up it was too late she had indulged her vulnerability which weakened discipline causing it to fail. How many of us has been on a diet and was tempted for a snack, when we have strong discipline to reenforce us or a “faith” that “we can”, we curb the craving, and keep going, but when we are without discipline we tend to give into our vulnerabilities even when we know we shouldn’t. And in that the two as one whole are separated from God, then giving birth to children that are not in direct connection with God leading to a world that is progressively growing more evil. In the same way the virgin woman Mary engaged to be married to Joseph becomes pregnant by the Holy Spirit and will give birth to Jesus Christ. So society fell at a woman’s hand yet, in the same way God used a woman to save society what’s the deal? From research I find that Mary or Miriam in Hebrew means bitter or rebellious. Eve who was created by God gave birth to all mankind. But they were a wicked people, Abel was killed by his brother Cain because of his wicked desires lets not forget God was still close by trying to warn and guide him before all this. But then Adam and Eve gave birth to Seth who was righteous. After wickedness increased God warned Noah which was a descended of the line of Seth of a coming flood and instructed him to build a ark. And he did and was saved by his obedience. So in the same way God is using a evil and rebellious people to right the wrong that was committed in the beginning. And so Jesus Christ was born and we aren’t told anything much about his childhood but we journey through his path from his baptism the testing to the beginning of his teachings and ultimately his death, and resurrection. So from hints in the Bible, we learn that Jesus is the son of God but also God himself. How could that be? By Jesus explanation he says “ the father is in me, and I in the father.” Which tells us he is in direct relations with God, so, again how is that? By account Jesus Christ prayed to God often, by his life he displayed all the qualities of God through character. In fact, Jesus said we should love God with all our being, secondly he says we should love our neighbor as ourselves, and said that this command covers a multitude of sins, well how so? Because when we honor God above all we also by default honor what God is and what he represents. And in the same way we reciprocate that same love and kindness, which is a result because when we accept God we receive his Spirit and he dwells with us. So Jesus is correct he is in the father and the father in he! So back to biblical hints, when Jesus starts he begins by gathering 12 disciples to follow him. As he teaches he performs miracles that heal, raise the dead, cast out evil spirits, and cause many to follow him. Jesus before his death foretells his disciples of his death and that they and anyone who follows him will suffer the same circumstances, that he endured. And in fact it did get hard for Jews and Christian people after the death of Christ if we dive into some research we can go through history and account for all the persecution the Jews and Christians went through and still endure today. Jesus and by account of letters written by Paul and the other apostles make many parallels about marriage and Jesus being the brides groom and the church is his wife. When Jesus marries the church which being those who follow him it puts us back in relationships with God. Jesus correcting the Pharisees said there is no male or female in the resurrection but we will be as the angels are. Paul says that when we join Christ their is no male or female, gentile or Jew, slave or free but we are as one forming the body of Christ. In the same way Jesus is coming to unite Gods people back with him under a new covenant. In the teachings of Jesus he said that the kingdom of God could not be observed, nor will people say here it is or there it is because the kingdom of God is within us. Says a lot Jesus mostly taught about us cleaning up our own hearts so that our lives would reflect change outwardly, in this he warned not to live as the Pharisee and Seducess lived. They embraced man made laws and doctrine putting aside the laws of God to do so. Jesus teaches us how to live a life honorable to God without neglecting the laws of man at the same time, and to many this was threatening but it went against what their religion taught, and so they rejected God, embracing the workings of their own hand. So, who is Jesus, and when does he return? The Bible says Jesus will not return until the gospel is heard throughout the entire world. I believe that we are getting prepared for an age when the world will go back to a time when God ruled the world through his prophets. And so when we accept Jesus we are adopted into sonship, we become one people on the same accord. Paul says, “there’s one body and one spirit, being our hope, one Lord ,Jesus Christ being our Savior and way of life, one faith that Jesus died to save us from our sins, one baptism, our acceptance and submission of Jesus and the faith. And one God and father that rules over all people that follow Jesus Christ. This sounds like a people on one accord with each other and God that rules over them all which forms the unified body of Christ in God, thus bringing heaven down to earth through a people that serve God day and night in the body. So who is Jesus Christ? He is the truth, the way, and the life of those whom serve God in body and Spirit. He is our savior, strength, redeemer and more. I hope those who read realize that man apart from God is vulnerable and weak and will fail at every attempt for world peace because we have rejected true peace in our heart when we reject love, kindness, compassion, we also reject God. But when God is joined back with man through the truth, way, and life of Jesus Christ that came into the world just briefly but mankind rejected him killing him, though he was resurrected he only appeared to so many people before ascending into heaven. And in return he promised that he would send a comforter through the Holy Spirit, to teach us, and reveal the ways of God to us. He also said that where two or more are gathered in his name he is there always. And so we will continue to build up the unified body of Jesus Christ and teach his gospel throughout the entire world until we are the matured body of Christ no longer infants in our understanding of God putting off our old ways of life and embracing the new.
