Who knows the thoughts of God?
Hey, Good morning! Come have Bible study with me. As I was pondering on the word of God, something sat on my spirit. And that question was, Who knows the thoughts of God? So many times I have seen people make the argument that the Bible was written by men, which is true. But I challenge your thought process today. With these five scriptures, I wanted to highlight some key points. The first one being that yes, all the books were written by men, whoopty do. Some of us miss the point that these men were simply documenting their walk, journey, experience, and encounters with God and Jesus. So who can know the thoughts of God? Those in the closest relationship can. I mean really think about it, what’s so different about what we do today? I mean minus the phenomenal miracles that they witnessed, and I say that with some hesitation, and I’ll explain why later, what’s so different? When we encounter Christ for the first time, we too want to let everyone know all about it. We want to share with others what God is teaching and dealing with us on. And some of us do it in the form of outreach, others through writing, others through vlogging, there are so many ways we do the same thing, but, and yes, there is a but. But what we lack is the true conviction that comes with it. And that brings me back to my earlier thought. The miracles I believe are still happening today, but we have become so callous, so wrapped up in the cares of life, that sometimes it’s hard to see the beauty still happening around us with all the noise. In a world of “screenshots or it didn’t happen”, it’s hard to trust what we can’t see, feel, or touch. I know at least for me, it’s a wrestle at times. What would happen if I believed, I mean truly believed, the way some of the people did in that time? Think of the lady with the issue of blood, it was her FAITH that healed her. I pray God can give me that form of faith. And I know that will come as I deepen my relationship with God. But to end this Bible study, I wanted to close with this. Many people can come and challenge the Bible, our beliefs, and way of living. But no one on this Earth can challenge our experience or transformations when it comes to our Heavenly Father. Our experiences are our testimonies. Do you remember where God found you? And these truths no man can take away. And the transformation? That’s just a result of our obedience and the way of life God calls us to. But I want to always remember that neither one is possible without partnership with God. So be sure to include him in every decision and situation in life and allow him to lead. Remember, Jesus did not leave us as orphans; he sent a helper, the Holy Spirit. So if he lives in you, you’re never alone, so stand strong and lean on him when needed, so that through you God’s work is still done on Earth. God bless!
